Yes, Zentral Chat is completely free. We focus on bringing the best user experiences possible while keeping all features free to use.
Zentral Chat is web-based and accessible on modern desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile browsers. Additional platforms may be introduced in the future.
Unlike most chat platforms, we prioritize your privacy by avoiding collecting any personal data (e.g. IP addresses, device information, location data). Only data such as messages, account identifiers, and moderation logs are stored temporarily for security and functionality purposes. We will protect your data at all cost as we believe creating a safe environment is the key to our success.
If you encounter a bug or issue with Zentral Chat, please report it through the Feedback Form. We will look into the issue and update the server as soon as possible.
Yes, you can reply to a message by opening the action menu (press and hold the message) and selecting 'reply' for tablet/mobile devices, or hovering and clicking the reply icon on laptops/desktops. Alternatively, you can use the swipe-to-reply feature on tablet and mobile devices by swiping the message to the side.
Yes, you can edit or delete your own messages within 48 hours of sending them. To edit or delete, open the action menu (Phones/Tablet: press and hold the message, Desktops/Laptops: hover and click the three dots) and select the appropriate option.
To react, open the action menu (Phones/Tablet: press and hold the message, Desktops/Laptops: hover and click the three dots). Next, click 'react' and select a reaction. As of early 2026, only six emojis are available for reactions.
To remove a reaction, simply click on the reaction you want to remove.
To see who reacted to your message, press and hold the reaction badge for tablet and mobile devices, or hover over the badge on desktop and laptops. A reaction tooltip will appear and show all users who reacted.
Levels is a progression system in Zentral Chat to encourage active chatting. ZXP (Zentral Experience Point) are rewarded for sending and reacting to messages. By reaching the ZXP requirement for each level, you will level up and obtain badges. To check how much ZXP you have/need, head to settings (settings button on sidebar).
Badges can be obtained for leveling up or contributing to the Zendra community. Here are the badges you can obtain from leveling.
Level 1 - Starter
Level 5 - Rookie
Level 10 - Expert
Level 25 - Veteran
Level 50 - Elite
Level 100 - Champion
To equip or unequip your badges, head to settings (settings button on sidebar) and click on the badges, a dropdown menu will show up with all available options.
To change your profile icon, head to settings (settings button on sidebar) and select the profile icon of your choice. It will automatically apply once you close the settings.
While you are unable to upload your own profile icon, you can connect to your Google Account and unlock the option to use your Google profile picture as icon.
To change your chat theme, head to settings (settings button on sidebar) and select the chat theme of your choice.
Moderation is handled using automated systems alongside human moderation to detect spam, abuse, and suspicious behavior.
If you encounter inappropriate content or behavior, please use the report feature available in the action menu (Phones/Tablet: press and hold the message, Desktops/Laptops: hover and click the three dots) to notify moderators.
Reports are logged securely and reviewed by moderators. Repeated abuse of the reporting system may result in restrictions.
No, messages are only stored temporarily for moderation, security, and system integrity purposes.
Yes, accounts are automatically deleted after long period of inactivity.
If you have already created an anonymous/guest account, you can link it to your Google account by pressing "Connect with Google" button in the sidebar or settings. If you do not have any account, you can create a new one with Google connected by selecting the same option in home menu.
If you have connected your account with Google, you can easily login to the same account by signing into Google account. However, if you have never connected with Google, it is impossible to recover the account.
If your account has been hacked, please notify us immediately through Support Form. We will verify your identity and logout the account on all devices.
Yes. Violating the Terms & Conditions may result in warnings, timeout, or permanent bans.
Yes, appeals may be submitted through Support Form and are reviewed case-by-case. It might take few weeks for your appeal to be processed.
No, you are only allowed to have one account per user due to identification and security reasons.
Account deletion is not supported at this time. Accounts cannot be deleted or logged out by you once created.
Unfortunately, no. Your account is tied to Google once linked. It is impossible to disconnect Google while preserving the account.
As of early 2026, username changes are not supported. Please submit Support Form if you need assistance with your username.
